      Summary of Job Duties:

      The Pharmacy Technician III will work under the supervision of the pharmacist to provide excellent customer service to patients receiving specialty medications. This technician will be responsible for dispensing functions for specialty medications with a focus on shipping including cold chain and room temperature pack outs. Duties will include troubleshooting delivery issues with the carriers and management of shipping supplies and restocking.


      Qualifications:

      Minimum Qualifications:

      • High School Diploma or GED

      • 3 years of pharmacy technician experience

      • Arkansas Pharmacy Technician License or eligible for licensure by the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy

      • PTCB National Certification

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Undergraduate degree

      • ASHP/ACPE accredited technician training or certificate program (i.e. Advanced Certified Pharmacy Technician)


      Additional Information:

      Responsibilities:

      • Filling prescriptions, selecting the right drug, brand, form, strength, and quantity, and accurately counting and packaging the medication. May also prepare compounded medications, IV fluids, and other mixtures for patients.

      • Taking inventory, ordering supplies, checking goods received, and reviewing pharmacy stock for expired drugs. May also oversee and manage compounding facilities to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.

      • Adhere to pharmacy laws, regulations, and policies.

      • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain proper handling of controlled substances.

      • Other duties as assigned.
