      Work Schedule:

      20% FTE, 16 hours per week required. Shift and schedules may vary. Mixture of AM and PM shifts. Hours ranging 6:30 AM – 11:00 PM. Weekend rotation required. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department.

      Pay:

      • External hires may be eligible for up to a $600 sign on bonus.

      We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to:

      • Be an exceptional teammate, take the initiative to jump in and help without being asked.
      • Provide expertise in a variety of pharmacy technician duties, work both in inpatient and outpatient settings.
      • Have a high level of accountability to the work. You must be self motivated and driven to complete the work in a timely manner to achieve our goals of high quality patient care.

      The ideal candidate will have prior hospital experience. Certification is preferred, but not required.

      Education:

      Minimum – High School Diploma or equivalent

      Preferred Completion of an accredited pharmacy technician training program

      Work Experience:

      Minimum – No related work experience required

      Preferred – Six (6) months experience as a pharmacy technician or completion of a Pharmacy Technician Training Program

      Licenses and Certifications:

      Minimum – As defined by the enactment of 2021 WI Act 100, all candidates hired into this role on or after March 1, 2023, must apply for registration as a Pharmacy Technician with the WI Dept of Safety and Professional Services (“DSPS”), and provide proof of application to their UW Health Recruiter prior to their start date. Failure to do so will result in delay of start date or withdrawal of offer. Current incumbents or those starting in an impacted role prior to March 1, 2023, are required to provide proof of application to their department designee no later than March 31, 2023.
