The Opportunity at Hand

Photo Studio Intern is responsible for assisting the studio team with overall execution of daily tasks and ongoing projects as directed by the Studio Manager, Photographers, and Digital Techs. This includes but is not limited to e-commerce photography, commercial marketing photography, and digital rendering. Light maintenance, cleaning, and clerical work may also be required from time to time.

Projects & Tasks

• Assist photographers with styling product.
• Research inspiration for creative imagery relative to brand direction.
• Act as a sounding board to help achieve creative vision.
• Help prepare, steam, and organize product for photography.
• Clean and maintain studio/equipment as necessary.
• Digital rendering of caps and apparel.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you will need to make an impact

• Strong computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and the ability to learn and utilize new systems.
• Experience with the Adobe Suite: Photoshop, Bridge, Illustrator, etc.
• Knowledge/interest in various cameras, professional lighting equipment, and imagery software.
• Ability to establish relationships and interact with various levels within the organization.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and efficiently prioritize workday to maximize productivity.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
• Enthusiastic, pro-active, and positive person who adapts to change with urgency and persistence.
• The ability to be innovative and creative when handling difficult business challenges.

Education and Experience

• Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelors program studying Photography, marketing or another creative field.
• Experience on/around professional photography shoots/studio environments.

The hourly rate for this posted position is $17/hr. and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Actual compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
