What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide direct physical therapy services under the direction of a qualified physical therapist according to the physician's plan of care
- Treat patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance
- Instruct patients in the care and use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs, braces, and prosthetics
- Maintain necessary clinical records and documentation in prescribed time frames
- Participate in team meetings and in-service education programs

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program with an associate's degree in science or applied science
- Approved as a physical therapist assistant by the Physical Therapy Board of California
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation that meets organizational requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills

- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Additional certifications in specialized therapeutic techniques
- Bilingual abilities to communicate with a diverse patient population
