What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide direct physical therapy services under the direction of a qualified physical therapist
- Treat patients to relieve pain, develop or restore function, and maintain maximum performance
- Direct and assist patients in therapeutic exercises, gait training, and functional training
- Utilize physical agents such as heat, cold, electricity, and massage as part of treatment
- Maintain necessary clinical records and participate in team meetings and education programs

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant program with an associate's degree
- Approved as a physical therapist assistant by the Physical Therapy Board of California
- Strong verbal and written communication and organization skills
- Current CPR certification
- Valid driver’s license and reliable form of transportation

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in home health care settings or with similar patient populations
- Additional certifications related to physical therapy or rehabilitation
- Bilingual skills to enhance communication with diverse patient populations
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
