What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Establish and maintain effective communication with physicians, staff, and other departments
- Execute plan of care in compliance with state board recommendations and guidelines
- Respond to patient questions and inquiries to resolve problems and uphold patient standards
- Document care and other patient information as required by the medical record and state practice act
- Assist in training Physical Therapy Technicians and ensure compliance with department policies and state regulations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from an accredited program
- Certification in the state where the physical therapist assistant (PTA) practices
- Minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient physical therapy clinic preferred
- Knowledge of orthopedic practices and procedures
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality

- Experience working specifically with orthopedics in a clinical setting
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and team members
- Familiarity with OSHA and infection control regulations
- Previous experience in a healthcare environment focused on patient care
