      Summary of Job Duties:

      The Physician Assistant (PA) supports surgeons by assisting with clinic visits, performing procedures, and serving as a first assist in the operating room. They manage patient care, including rounding on post-operative patients, handling telephone inquiries, and filling prescriptions. The PA works both independently and collaboratively to provide direct patient care, conduct diagnostic procedures, and coordinate consultations, serving as a healthcare resource and patient advocate.


      Qualifications:

      • Graduate from an accredited physician assistant program defined by the Arkansas State Medical Board.

      • Current Arkansas Physician Assistant license or eligible to apply for licensure.

      Preferred Qualifications :

      • Experience working with burn patients.


      Additional Information:

      Responsibilities:

      • Manages daily of critical and non-critical burn patients at ACH.

      • Assists with patient care both in the clinical and surgical settings.

      • Performs assessments/diagnosis/treatment of actual/potential problems with burn patients.

      • Coordination with Ambulatory Surgery and scheduling of surgeries.

      • Performs other duties as assigned.
