Job summary
An exciting new opportunity has arisen in the Respiratory ward at Ealing hospital for a newly created post. LNWUH is looking to recruit PAs to work in the Respiratory medicine team initially on a 6-month fixed term appointment with the option to extend subject to mutual agreement. The PAs will work under a supervising consultant, providing care and support for clinical teams. The postholder will be working in the busy Respiratory medicine ward, which is a 34 bedded ward with 6 HDU beds. The respiratory team responsible for non-invasive ventilation on 6 South and other wards as appropriate.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to manage patients within the Respiratory medicine ward at the direction of the supervising consultant.
The post holder will manage patients in all areas covered by their supervising consultant and clinical team.
To exercise a high degree of personal and professional autonomy when assessing, managing and planning care for a caseload of specific patients with a variety of presentations.
To develop extensive specialist knowledge and experience in your clinical area, acting as a resource to the clinical team and allied health professionals.
To contribute to the trust professional standards and targets.
To support the work of local and national audits.
