      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Conduct audits of chart documentation and professional billing for compliance with coding and regulatory requirements
      - Analyze audit findings and summarize results for the central database
      - Participate in audit conferences with representatives from the employer
      - Identify training needs and conduct remedial training with providers and billing staff
      - Assist in the development of policies and procedures for billing compliance

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing
      - At least 4 years of medical coding experience for multi-specialty providers
      - 3 years of experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and Tricare payment rules
      - 3 years of medical record chart auditing experience for professional billing
      - High School Diploma or GED required; Associates degree preferred

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with medical management information systems, such as EPIC
      - Familiarity with auditing software applications (e.g., MDaudit, Compliance Risk Analyzer)
      - Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Professional Coder (CPC) at the time of hire
      - Certification as a Certified Professional Medical Auditor (CPMA) within 6 months of hire
