      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Actively engage with internal auditors and educators to analyze professional coding for assigned service lines
      - Perform production coding to review medical records and ensure accuracy of code assignment
      - Provide guidance and support to junior coders regarding complex coding issues
      - Collaborate with various managers to ensure accurate follow-up of patient accounts for coding reimbursement
      - Serve as a subject matter expert on coding practices and provide training to new team members

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum of 6+ years of professional/physician-based coding experience
      - Associate degree or three (3) years of directly related work experience may substitute for the degree
      - Must hold and maintain at least one (1) of the following national certifications: CPC, CCS, CCS-P, CCA, or CMC
      - Exceptional knowledge of coding principles and guidelines as per AMA, AHA, and CMS
      - Strong written and verbal communication skills

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience working with Electronic Medical Records (EPIC)
      - Level one (1) Trauma hospital experience
      - Previous experience in a large organization with multi-location, multi-specialty providers
      - Professional coding experience in office, inpatient, bedside, and surgical procedures
