What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate with managers to facilitate charge entry for non-office based services
- Review medical documentation and assign billing modifiers to insurance claims
- Perform charge reconciliation and resolve issues related to missing charges
- Communicate with management, providers, and billing staff regarding coding assignments
- Participate in team meetings and maintain current knowledge of billing regulations and policies

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Coding certification through AAPC or AHIMA required
- High school diploma
- Proven knowledge of CPT and ICD coding systems
- Understanding of Federal billing regulations and managed care payer requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with strong analytical and communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Epic software
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare information or finance
- Prior experience with Provider E/M coding
