      Job summary

      An exciting NEW role has arisen for a Physiotherapist with a keen interest in elective and trauma orthopaedic rehabilitation to join our committed team to deliver excellent therapy services to our client group.

      The candidate will actively seek opportunities to support the development of the service across the team working to support the hub accreditation at the "centre of excellence" at Pontefract General Infirmary (PGI), the NOF pathway at Pinderfields General Hospital (PGH) and the amputee service to improve the pathway for patients undergoing amputation surgery outside of the Trust.

      The team is a highly specialist, dedicated, welcoming and supportive team working together to deliver excellent care to our patients. The team are excited to welcome an enthusiastic member of the team to support the driving force to change and innovate the service development within our orthopaedic therapy service

      The role is ideally suited to individuals with some band 5 experience in this clinical area.

      Main duties of the job

      To provide physiotherapy assessment of patients with diverse presentations with both physical and psychological symptoms associated with inpatient conditions in a broad variety of clinical settings including fractured NOFs, Ortho-geriatric, trauma and elective and diabetic /endocrinology service.

      To implement treatment plans that respect peoples individuality, privacy and dignity that is entirely person centred.

      To be actively involved in the pre operative pathway for elective orthopaedic patients in clinic

      To participate in the 7 day service to meet best practice tariff and standards for post operative care

      To maintain good links with all aspects of the MDT and promote collaborative working across all areas.
