- Daily item copy creation/editing/updating product titles, descriptions, and details in an engaging and Search Engine Optimized manner.
- Provide copy that is brand appropriate, informative, and accurate.
- Daily peer proof reading/editing.
- Update product attributes in e-commerce platform.
- Research vendor websites for additional product info.
- Maintain clean sample flow through consistent product receiving, storage, tracking, transfers, and requests from/to multiple locations and departments.
- Troubleshoot product issues ensuring that product is available online as soon as possible and is accurately displayed.
- Execute mass product information edits sometimes updating hundreds of products at one time.
- Upload US/Canada crossover product information daily.
- Assists with production of any catalog, hard-launch, outfit guide or pre-sale items as well as any related tasks associated with getting products online.
- Develop an understanding of the production process and systems utilized by the PIM team.
- Teach people outside of PIM how our processes and systems work and understand why we operate this way.
- Document new/updated processes in order to build a knowledge base for future improvements and alignment.
- Do your best to provide clarity or seek clarity.
- Prepare and communicate daily/weekly reports for several different segments of the business.
- Conduct weekly performance metric presentations and provide updates to PIM team members in order to share recent successes or challenges in order to bring awareness to the team and positively improve operational framework.
- Research products that are communicated from SOLD/Customer Care and take appropriate steps to resolve the issue and address the root cause.
- Track/Update Non-Web Eligible styles, ensuring that only product allowed online is available.
- Resolve duplicate or incorrectly tagged products with the appropriate teams and team members.
- Assist with quarterly inventory execution.
- High School Degree or GED Required.
- Team oriented individual willing to help anywhere possible.
- Understanding of core MS Excel functions. (vLookups and Pivot Tables)
- Understanding of who the Zumiez customer is, the brands we carry, and any applicable current market trends.
- Experience with basic SEO requirements in product merchandising.
- Proven copy writing skills or ability to showcase writing ability.
- Strong typing skills.
- Ability to sit in stationary position in and office environment for extended periods of time and work on a PC without limitations.
- Constantly positions self to maintain sample organization or move samples across short to medium distances.
- Ability to move in an office environment in order to access samples.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office machinery. (Ladders/ Hand Trucks/ Etc.)
- Frequent communication with other office employees who have inquiries about product statuses. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Frequently moves freight boxes weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to distinguish colors and inspect materials on products.

POSITION PURPOSE
Creates and maintains all product copy including relevant meta data for the Zumiez website, print catalog, outfit guides, hard launches, and pre-sales. Assists the Distribution Center and our 600+ stores by ensuring that all product owned by Zumiez is ready to sell as soon as possible. People in this role are crucial to the support of the PIM team as they are responsible for producing, proofreading, requesting samples and tracking product from the time a buyer places a purchase order all the way to its destination, our customer. This role makes sure that the product has great copy, has been categorized, has a photo, and is online and ready to sell. PIM Analysts have a direct impact on the sales goals of the web and company through effective copy, overseeing/improving the production process and thorough reporting and clear communication.
