      JOB SUMMARY

      Job Profile Summary

      Performs duties related to monitoring and controlling flow of gas or natural gas liquids through the pipeline system in a safe, reliable, compliant and efficient manner. This includes transmission, gathering, storage and processing systems.

      Essential Functions and Responsibilities

      • Utilize computers and SCADA digital displays to determine sufficient operating pressures and monitor and direct flow of natural gas or gas liquids through pipeline systems
      • Monitor and/or assist in determining load requirements using company approved forecasting model. Adjust system pressures as required to accommodate weather conditions and operating objectives
      • Monitor and assist with resolution of telemetering problems. Take steps as directed to minimize drastic reductions in pressure caused by line breaks or other unusual occurrences
      • Monitor system pipeline quality; take steps as directed to respond to changes
      • Assist with verification and/or calculation of the following, including but not limited to:
        • Receipts
        • Deliveries
        • Storage injections and withdrawals
        • Pipeline system load requirements
        • Transportation imbalances

      • Assist with compiling, preparing, and/or posting information, including but not limited to:
        • Start/stop of receipt/delivery flows and compressors or pumps
        • Storage injection and withdrawal requests
        • Field personnel call-outs
        • Nomination confirmations and changes
        • Product quality issues
        • Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA) communication problems

      • Communicate information and/or instructions related to system operations and contractual obligations to company field personnel, schedulers, and pipeline controllers from other companies
      • Utilize the ONEOK Communication System (OCS) for the following:
        • Emergency/non-emergency communication
        • Setting up conference bridge
        • One-Call center line locates
      • Responsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline. Job duties also require the employee to be alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions, and where impaired performance, or failure to follow safety precautions, could result in serious injury or property damage.

      Work Experience

      • Experience and/or working knowledge of pipeline flow principals and natural gas or natural gas liquids characteristics
      • Experience and/or working knowledge of pipeline system processes, procedures, and equipment such as:
        • Controlling pressures and flows
        • Curtailment procedures
        • Telecommunications
        • Regulators/relief valves
        • Volumetric measurement meters

      • Experience and/or working knowledge of and/or training related to:
        • ­Basic programming and/or use of spreadsheets, and word processing applications
        • Company and governmental operating/safety procedures
        • ­Communications equipment such as two way radios and cellular phones

      • Experience in use and function of office equipment applicable to position including computers
      • Experience interacting and communicating effectively

      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

      • Ability to: apply addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. (Tested)
      • Ability to: read and interpret rules, regulations, reports, manuals, and contracts
      • Ability to: compile, prepare, enter, and/or post information, reports, and correspondence
