This position provides analytical support to the Director of Service Delivery and all supporting staff. It provides analysis using databases and Object Interface Generator (OIG) software customization for performance statistics. Assists with the implementation of new software and software upgrades. Serves as the liaison between Service Delivery and IT departments. Reviews business practices and processes providing input to the Service Delivery management team for process improvement. Assists the Manager of Bus and Rail Operations Scheduling in reviewing vehicle schedules, analyzing vehicle hours and peak vehicles, and run cutting crew schedules for fixed route service utilizing Hastus software. Develops priorities for schedule revisions, reviews and approves those revisions by ensuring adequate running times, recoveries and meal breaks. Provide support to the Manager of Operations Planning and Projects with the completion of major projects.
Four (4) days a week onsite are required.
This is a limited term position that will end on 06/30/2025.

Serve as a good steward of TriMet by regularly utilizing our transit system to maintain a strong and current understanding of customers’ experiences and of TriMet’s product and service offerings. 1. Provide analytical support to the Director of Service Delivery and supporting staff ensuring timely and accurate completion of assigned projects. Lead the monitoring and evaluation of performance data to assist in identifying priority projects for Service Delivery.
2. Assists the Manager of Bus and Rail Scheduling with ensuring that schedules are written efficiently and meet contractual requirements by primarily utilizing Hastus software. Perform quality control analysis on proposed run times, recovery time and meal breaks confirming they meet contractual requirements. Conduct operator break review assessments, responses and take necessary follow-up actions.
3. Assists the Manager of Operation Planning and Projects with the successful completion of larger scale projects by providing required analysis and assisting the team in meeting goals.
4. Assists with the implementation of new software and software upgrades. Serves as the liaison between Service Delivery and IT or other departments. Recommends new technologies and information systems as appropriate.
5. Stays current on technical advances in software and electronic data collection systems used in Service Delivery. Reviews current business practices and processes and provide feedback to the management team for process improvement.
6. Ensure that vehicle assignments by garage and route are optimal while maintaining adequate spare ratios and supporting Maintenance Department needs, tracking peak vehicle counts by type and garage for Operations Analysts.
7. Prepares cost analysis of service changes by creating reports summarizing changes and cost of vehicle hours, peak vehicles, and personnel. A Bachelors Degree is required.
A Bachelors or Masters Degree in Transportation/Urban Planning, Statistics, Transportation/Logistics is preferred.
A minimum of four (4) years total credited experience.
Four (4) years of experience in Transportation Planning and Data Analysis is required.
Two (2) years of experience in Hastus Scheduling Software is preferred.
One (1) year of experience in OIG Scripting and attribute creation is preferred.
Or any other combination of experience and education.

Grade 15, Exempt, Non-Union, Full-Time.
Salary Range
Salary offers will be determined by a candidate’s education, training and relevant experience. Any final offer of employment will fall within the range stated above. For transparency, we choose to list the full available grade range, however, TriMet’s salary administration process will ultimately determine the final salary offered.
Minimum: $89,263.00
Maximum: $133,894.00
