What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct complex planning and research to support federal grant programs
- Collect, analyze, and present data to ensure effective utilization of USDA funds
- Assist in the development and administration of the Resilient Food Systems Infrastructure Program and the Maine Senior FarmShare Program
- Monitor and audit grant projects to ensure compliance with federal and state requirements
- Coordinate activities involving stakeholders and partner organizations, including participant recruitment and customer service

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Eight (8) years of education, training, and/or experience in planning and research principles
- Experience in food supply chain systems and delivering technical support to stakeholders
- Proven ability to develop budgets, work programs, contracts, and cost analyses
- Knowledge of federal grant programs and the ability to prepare project and financial reports
- Experience conducting site visits and drafting testimony before regulatory committees

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in monitoring and auditing grant projects or subaward contracts
- Familiarity with software programs relevant to the position
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct special studies and report outcomes
- Experience acting as a key point of contact for stakeholder coordination
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
