      Designs and executes brand strategies for the company and identifies new opportunities for assigned products, product lines, lines of business, or on a company-wide campaign basis. Responsible for brand-level development including market analysis, product acquisitions, and brand management. Manages marketing materials to establish product branding and messaging. Develops and implements product education, publication and other promotional activities to communicate product positioning and lifecycle development of products to customers. Applies consumer insight and market research to determine new marketing and product opportunities. May work in partnership with cross-functional teams in linking the brand to efforts by marketing, product marketing, marketing communications or other departments or units within the organization.

      Job Description

      The Portfolio Mgr. of Medical/Surgical Products will build and execute an integrated commercial brand strategy to support the growth and development of Covetrus Branded animal healthcare medical/surgical supplies & consumables products positioned both through traditional distribution and expanded veterinary purchase channels. Establishes and directs the development and implementation of brand, marketing plans and budgets that align with organizational goals and objectives.

      RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Maintain an optimized portfolio of Covetrus Branded medical/surgical supplies & consumables by evaluating product lines by category to identify opportunities and recommend actions that enhance volume, customer penetration and profitability.
      • Lead the development of marketing plans that support key business and brand initiatives, new product launches and seasonal activities. Create, manage, and adapt a product roadmap to meet quarterly objectives/KPIs. Interface with leaders and team members from across the organization to achieve commercial goal
      • Analyze the competitive environment, and execute marketing strategies and tactics to achieve success based on market dynamics
      • Identify new product opportunities; work with cross-functional team to drive successfully from stage gate development process through commercial launch.
      • Execute campaigns including working with cross functional team of Sales, Marketing and Procurement for integrated brand communication plans.
      • Interface with all functions throughout the end to end development and launch of initiatives (including Sales, Marketing, Sourcing, Procurement, Finance, and Sales Operations) to deliver projects within the specified time, cost, and quality parameters.
      • Manage commercialization activities such as positioning, promotion, and sales enablement (sales training, tools & aids, national & regional meetings, etc.).
      • Build out analytics capabilities and perform ongoing and ad-hoc analysis to assess product performance and extract new product insights.
      • Maintain extensive knowledge of the business to make decisions based on the unique needs of our consumer and/or the category.
      • Continually seek qualitative customer feedback to guide product decisions; be the voice of the customer.
      • Effectively integrate business plan with those of key cross-functional peer leaders to align activities across the organization.
      • Leads and assists in other projects and performs other duties as assigned.

      Salary may vary depending on factors such as confirmed job-related skills, experience, and location. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

      However, the pay range for this position is as follows. Sales Positions are eligible for a Variable Incentive

      $86,300.00-$123,300.00
