What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct financial analysis and reporting for the department
- Review and analyze budgets for various research projects
- Perform variance analysis and reporting to identify discrepancies
- Assist with the journal entry process and month-end financial activities
- Provide financial information and support for proposal creation and ad hoc projects

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance
- Minimum of 2 years of prior experience as a Grants/Financial Analyst in a research organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate the story behind financial data effectively

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with budgeting and financial reporting in a clinical research environment
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft or similar financial software
- Demonstrated initiative and results-oriented approach in past roles
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
