      The College of Dentistry is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to serve in the department of Biomedical Sciences.       What you need to know

      Proposed Minimum Salary: Commensurate based on selected hire's qualifications.

      Work Schedule/Location: This is an on-site role with a typical schedule of Monday – Friday 8am to 5pm.

      Qualifications

      Required Education and Experience:

      • PhD in Pharmacology. No experience required.

      Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

      • Record of peer-reviewed research papers.

      • Willingness to work with research animals (mice and rats).

      • Good verbal and written English communication skills.

      • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, detail-oriented and ability to prioritize tasks.

      • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Experience in neuroscience research.

      • Hands-on experience in pain research.

      • Strong background and skills in slice recording combined with optogenetic manipulation.

      Responsibilities

      • Research – Pain Model Preparation: Conduct animal model preparation

      • Research- Pain Study: Perform optogenetic stimulation

      • Non-bench Work: Perform Data analysis and manuscript preparation
