5 x Part time (7.5hrs per week), fixed term for 12 months. Employment aligned with PhD enrolment. Located at the Faculty of Science on the Camperdown Campus

Base Salary Level A1-5, $83,454 - $101,507 p.a. (pro-rata) + 17% superannuation
conduct and prepare for tutorials during both semesters in designated areas of Psychology
conduct assessment and examination marking
respond to student enquiries and moderate canvas discussion forums
provide guidance to other tutors as required
undertake administrative functions, including supporting Unit of Study Coordinator
participate in University events and outreach activities, such as Open Days
prepare online and/or in-person training modules/activities or contribute to tutorial updates.
an Honours degree in Psychology (or equivalent)
enrolled in a postgraduate program (PhD or Masters) in the School of Psychology at the University of Sydney
evidence of excellence in demonstrating or tutoring to undergraduate students
outstanding oral and written communication skills are required.
a resume or CV (1 page maximum)
a description of your teaching philosophy and of the teaching skills and experience you bring to this role (1 page maximum)
your academic transcript.
About the opportunity
The School of Psychology at the University of Sydney are currently seeking Honours graduates in all areas of Psychology for five (5) part-time (0.2 FTE) appointments at Postgraduate Teaching Fellowship level.
You must be currently enrolled in a PhD (preferred) in the School of Psychology at the University of Sydney. The salary of this position is in addition to other potential scholarship funding. This Fellowship Program provides training and experience in tertiary teaching to outstanding postgraduate candidates with the aim of developing the next generation of university academics.
Training will be provided by the School of Psychology staff. Further support will be provided throughout the year by academic staff involved in the teaching program. Additionally, you will attend training modules run by the Education Innovation group in the University (topics may include team teaching, creating positive environments, and peer-peer learning).

Australian Temporary Residents currently employed at the University of Sydney may be considered for a fixed term contract for the length of their visa, depending on the requirements of the hiring area and the reasons for the position.
