      Job Description Summary

      All resources and logistics required to perform services, inspection, and maintenance activities on Customer’s site/property. These activities contribute to, maintain, repair, and refurbish existing product (electrical and mechanical). Includes all types of maintenance service (preventative and remedial), manage maintenance facilities and field services engineering.

      Essential Responsibilities:

      A dynamic, customer focused individual who has the drive and ability to operate confidently and at times independently, providing Technical, operational and maintenance support to GE’s Customer for the General Electric LM2500 Gas Turbine Generator Assembly and related Controls.

      The Electrical & Mechanical Gas Turbine FSE will be required to provide maintenance and logistic support for the customer and be technical lead on the GE Marine LM2500 Generator Set Assembly and Auxiliary Equipment. The successful candidate will assure that planned procedures are consistent with OEM technical specifications, safety and In-Service Support Contract requirements.

      To meet these challenges, the Electrical & Mechanical Gas Turbine FSE will be:

      • Technically proficient in maintenance and repair of Electrical and Mechanical Gas Turbine / Power Generation System.

      • Skilled in instrumentation and control systems, programmable logic controllers, (PLC), software updates, configuration control, testing and maintenance, etc.

      • Trained and/or experienced in gas turbine mechanical engine maintenance and inspection

      • Capable of preparing thorough job planning to include organization of parts and tools

      • Perform warehousing and parts management, including shipping and receiving in coordination with the Logistics Manager, incl. RFQ’s and PO’s

      • Engineering reviews of operational and maintenance procedures

      • Engineering Technical Support Functions

      • Capable of succeeding in a wide range of assignments for the In-Service Support Contract

      • Proactive, self-starter with strong organizational skills

      • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively

      • Willingness to learn and become proficient in relevant technologies

      • Highly skilled in troubleshooting, problem analysis and solution development, especially with generator sets and associated auxiliary equipment and the interfaces with power management systems

      • Capable of working safely and ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures and legislation

      Qualifications/Requirements:

      • A minimum of 5 years of experience specializing in Controls and Instrumentation for Power Generation (Electromechanical dual qualification highly desirable)

      • Trade or engineering qualifications; operational plant experience will be given additional consideration

      • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

      • Possession of an Australian Department of Defence Security Clearance (NV1) or the ability to obtain such a clearance is a mandatory requirement for this role

      • Valid driver’s license

      • This position requires candidate to occasionally work on an as-needed on-call basis (no FIFO)

      • This position will require some domestic/international travel, occasional overtime and/or weekend work

      • (BRUSH) GE Power Generation Package experience desirable

      • GE OEM Level 2 trained with Marine or Industrial gas turbine experience

      • Woodward Micronet Experience

      • Ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external organizations, including GE and/or customer senior management

      • Willingness and ability to travel

      • Strong interpersonal, influence, and leadership skills

      • Detail oriented with strong oral and written communication skills

      • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team
