What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Reconcile billing transactions with counterparties and the California Independent Systems Operator (CAISO) and process invoices according to contractual timelines
- Research and resolve complex billing discrepancies and identify cost recovery opportunities
- Analyze financial information to recognize variances, trends, and summarize findings for management
- Ensure accuracy of all invoices and payments related to 3CE's power supply portfolio, including Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)
- Monitor energy market activities, including pricing trends and forward curves related to renewable energy
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field
- Two (2) years of progressively responsible work experience in power settlements, utility/CCA accounting, or a related field
- Experience with renewable energy project development and California’s regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of California's Renewables Portfolio Standard and energy pre-pay settlements
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with environmental and local use permitting and interconnection agreements
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting and compliance requirements of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC)
- Knowledge of energy market pricing and trends
- Experience in accounting management within a public service organization
- Project management skills and excellent interpersonal abilities
