- Manage reception and services to patients
- Produce, update and monitor practice information. Including practice booklets and patient newsletters
- Taking the opportunity to work with stakeholders, specifically other practices and the wider Primary Care Network to learn from them
- Manage the practice-based complaints procedure; establish procedures to minimise complaints; monitor levels of patient satisfaction
- Establish and maintain accurate record-keeping
- Support Payroll and HR to ensure employees are paid accurately

- Ensure adequate premises security, test and review regularly
- Identify potential problems/hazards and implement risk management; ensure practice complies with Health and Safety legislation; disseminate practice policy to all users of the premises
- Take the lead for the practice on overseeing the lifecycle replacement work within the practice is completedproject management of equipment or premises upgrade; liaise with outside professionals as required; plan finances and timing
- Establish systems for the flow of patient records in the surgery and the integration of information into patient records
- Establish requirement for computer searches and reports; ensure completion and appropriate reporting mechanisms; review and undertake necessary action
- Review the consistency of all data entry eg READ codes; co-ordinate practice policy for clinical data entry
- Oversee all systems for data security and protection, including back-up; ensure compliance with current legislation
- Analyse and reconcile output of GP Links data; ensure timely production of quarterly reports; liaise with the HA as necessary
- Lead on IT crisis prevention; assess effectiveness of system and safety and security of data
- Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies/guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety, discipline
- Represent the Practice when required at wider PCNNC/ CCG/ Federation joint meetings for the improvement of health care for patients

Job summary
ELM Alliance Ltd are looking to appoint a Practice Manager at Ravenscar Surgery. In general, the post holder will be expected to undertake all of the normal duties and responsibilities associated with a Practice Manager working within Primary Care, plus having the benefit of. the full support from the relevant departments within the organisation.
Main duties of the job
This role will support the leadership team in the practice, by supporting the transition and implementation of continuous improvement. The mobilisation presents a very exciting opportunity for both staff and our new patient population.The post holder will manage theday toworkday workof clinical and non-clinical staff, to enable the Practice to maintain and develop high quality primary medical care consistent with its aims and objectives.
We are looking for a highly motivated experienced individual who has the necessary skills to manage the Practice with the support and guidance of ELM Alliance Ltd.
