Job summary
The Canford Heath Group Practice, a busy, yet supportive GP Practice at the heart of our community in suburban Poole, is looking for a Practice Nurse to join our friendly and hard-working team of fellow Practice Nurses, HCAs, Phlebotomists and ANPs.
We put our patients at the very heart of what we do, offering them excellent healthcare and as such we run a whole host of clinical services including; Asthma and COPD clinics, diabetic reviews, travel and childhood vaccinations, flu clinics, ECGs, smears hypertension clinics, minor surgery and many more in-house services to give our patients care close to home.
Main duties of the job
As a practice nurse you will see patients of all ages and help manage long term conditions and minor injuries in conjunction with other nursing colleagues and GPs.
The successful candidate will have qualifications in nursing and be a registered nurse. Previous practice nurse experience in a doctors surgery, although preferred, is not essential. We are a training practice and we try to nurture and grow our staff, so candidates wishing to make the move from secondary care to primary care will be considered and full training in the whole range of practice nursing will be given.
Hours per week mutually negotiable based on business need. The salary is the pro-rata salary for a full time position however and based on experience.

The Canford Heath Group Practice is a 12,200 patient practice with 5 GP partners, 3 salaried GPs, 2 ANPs, HCAs, Nurses, Network colleagues and various admin and reception team members. We work together to ensure our patients have excellent patient care in a friendly, modern building, amongst like minded team members.
