Job summary
THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR 6-9 MONTHS TO COVER MATERNITY LEAVE.
The Practice looking for an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic Practice Nurse/Advance Nurse Practitioner to join our friendly and supportive team to cover maternity leave from June 2025 We are a small sized practice of around 5,000 patients in Canton, Cardiff. We are an EMIS practice.
We require 3 days of cover per week, a Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
You will be automatically enrolled into the NHS pension, and you will be paid a band 6/7 salaried scale pro rata depending on skills and experience.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone who will share our commitment to providing excellent healthcare to our patients, and become an active member of our team. The successful candidate will be expected to undertake a range of practice nursing tasks, therefore experience in practice nursing is essential.
Being able to deliver respiratory care, diabetes, contraception, wound care and child/adult vaccinations is desirable.
About us
The surgery consists of two GP partners, one salaried GP and an Advance Nurse Practitioner We also have two experienced Health Support Care Assistants.
The surgery is a pro-active member of the Cardiff South-West Cluster, working with local partners to explore how best to work in a collaborative way to maximise our patients wellbeing.
