- Contacting students and clinics to organise placements
- Collect and record student result documentation to deadline
- Develop relationships within the teaching and academic staff responsible for the various programmes.
- Administer, assist, and coordinate practical (clinical if required) examinations and processes delivered at the clinical Campus/Site/School
- Stakeholder Services: Understand your stakeholders and be focussed on delivering to their needs.
- Planning and Organising: Exceptional planning and organisational skills. Coordination is key, be able to forward plan, prepare and manage multiple demands simultaneously.
- Communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Continuous Improvement: Be focussed on ensuring that we offer first-class service.
- Build Relationships: Maintain existing relationships with clinics, explore and connect with prospective clinics and ensure that we have adequate placement options for our students.
- Computer literacy is essential, with knowledge of Microsoft suite of programmes.

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity
We are currently seeking a fulltime (37.5 hours per week), permanent Practicum Placement Coordinator (PPC) to support our training doctors.We pride ourselves on our ability to prepare our future physicians in the medical, clinical and research skills for pursuing a vocation in any field of medicine. A key component of their journey is learning through placements in hospital and community environments, with rotating study in a number of disciplines.
The main purpose of the role is the coordination of the placement and collation of the outcomes of practical work as carried out by students in the MBChB programme around the North Island. If you are an energetic and outgoing person who enjoys building relationships with external stakeholders, then this could be the job for you.
Based at our Grafton Campus, the PPC will provide professional and effective administrative support for the practicum placement component within the programme.

Remuneration: $58,300-$63,000 per annum dependent on experiencePlease note that this position will start 19 February 2023. We will shortlist and get back to you in mid January.
