What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide job exploration counseling to eligible students with disabilities
- Deliver postsecondary education counseling and workplace readiness training
- Facilitate work-based learning experiences and self-advocacy training
- Collaborate with Local Educational Agencies (LEAs) and community partners to prepare students for employment and independent living
- Conduct frequent travel to assigned school districts, up to 90%

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate's degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related area, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience, including at least two years in teaching or counseling within Missouri secondary schools
- Current MO teaching certificate or substitute teacher certification, with preference for Special Education certification
- Valid MO driver's license and willingness to travel extensively
- Strong communication, organization, relationship-building, and leadership skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in education or related field preferred; master's degree is a plus
- Experience working with transition-age youth and familiarity with disability programs such as vocational rehabilitation and special education
- Previous interactions with state agencies and school staff
