Job Description

- Assigned projects around early development and acts as a single point of contact for Developers into project constructability. Assists in project management with Development team as the general subject matter experts for wind, solar, and battery storage projects. Understand how projects are built and act as technical liaison between Development, Engineering, Scheduling, Procurement, , Transmission, Estimating, Supply Chain and Logistics, and Project Controls teams.
- Coordinates with Project scheduler into creating and maintaining project schedules from early development through turnover to project construction team.
- Work hand in hand with Estimating team in the creation of cost estimates for project viability. Create and manage risk and opportunity log to identify and price any cost risks.
- Coordinate with Engineering team for early due diligence engineering (Geotechnical, Hydrological, Topographical, and ALTA Survey). Assist in managing project engineering of wind, solar, and battery storage projects up to a minimum 30% design. Review engineering documents for constructability.
- Assist Transmission team in support of interconnection agreements and constuctibility of interconnection facilities. Review all transmission documents for constructability.
- Prepare requests for proposal and assist in selection and negotiation of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction bids.

Identify and enact process for the purchase of long lead equipment (anything with a year or more lead time for purchase and delivery) to meet future construction schedules. Periodically review construction schedules with Development team to identify viability of projects for future purchases.

Assist in the tracking of project related schedules and metrics for the visibility to all project teams.

Provide a build ready project at turn over from development stage. Communicate all project related deliverables from development at time of turn over.

Coordinate the submittal of all non-discretionay permits (crossing agreements, DOT, other pre-construction permits.) Any permit not negotiated with a regulatory agency.
- Bachelor degree in Engineering, Construction/Project Management or related degree preferred
- PMP Certification preferred
- A Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in managing and implementing a range of renewable energy (solar, wind, and battery storage) and design/build related projects preferred
- A Minimum of 3 years experience with Project Controls, specifically CPM planning/scheduling
- Specific experience with Power Generation in the Commercial and Industrial markets or Utility scale preferred.
- Experience in Owner side project lifecycle execution (feasibility, design engineering, construction, start-up/turnover and subsequent O&M) preferred
- Demonstrated experience in safety focused work environment.
- Sound and proven construction scheduling and planning skills
- Strong leadership, written and oral communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and desire to learn new technology
- Ability to effectively represent the company
- Ability to work remotely, independently, and as part of a team
- Strong computer skills including Excel, MS Project and Word
- Up to 20% travel may be required.

RWECE has a growing project pipline and we are looking to add an essential member to the Preconstruction team. The Preconstruction Project Manager will be responsible to prepare solar, wind, and energy storage projects for build ready construction from early development to handover to construction team. The Preconstruction Project Manager shall ensure the required engineering is complete for bidding and construction, required civil based permits are in place, procurement of long lead equipment are ordered per schedule, assist in the interconnection process, the scopes of work are aligned in preparation for bidding, and lessons learned are incorporated into the scopes of work.

Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York is $79,000- $114,000 . The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
