Job Details:

This position is responsible for intermediate operative general labor such as operating machinery, heavy lifting and maintaining production flow while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Tasks
This position could work in any department of this beef processing facility. Standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching are involved in all areas. Lifting is involved in many areas (weight depends upon area).

These positions work in a cold, damp or hot and humid environment and these areas have slippery walking surfaces. (temperature ranges below.)

Processing: Includes further processing of fresh beef products. Environment is wet and cold and ranges in temperature from 35 to 45 degrees.

Jobs include: heavy/detailed knife and machine work and/or saw operation. May involve climbing stairs/ladders up to elevated platforms ranging in height. Must be willing to continuously lift/ push / pull up to 75 lbs.

prior experience is preferred on the qualifying jobs listed below:

HARVEST: 1st Legger, 2nd Legger, 1st Butter, 2nd Butter, Low Backer, Head Dropper, Gullet Raiser, Split Saw Operator, Gutter.

PROCESSING: Pull Clod, Bone Chuck, Bone Arm, Bone Rib, Pull Tenders, Pull 13th Rib, Pull Finger/Button Bones, Bone Tops, Seam Rounds

Experience must be listed on the work history section of the application.

This facility runs up to 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday. All job offers are based on the conditions that the candidate can provide proof of authorization to work legally in the United States and pass a urinalysis screening, which is part of the post-offer health assessment.

Only candidates from the following counties will be considered Franklin, Benton, Walla Walla, Yakima, Grant, Adams and Umatilla.
