      Department Overview:

      Gan HaYeled is Hebrew for “Garden of the Child,” and this name beautifully defines our approach to learning. We nurture the whole child (their mind, body, and soul) into becoming a kind, compassionate individual with a connection and love for themselves, family, community, Judaism, and the world. Our expressive, caring environment, along with our play-based emergent curriculum enables our children to develop a strong foundation for the skills and tools they will need as they grow.

      Part Time (29 hours per week) or Full Time (35-40 hours per week)

      Salary/Wage Range:

      Hourly $15.00 to $22.00

      Position Summary/Job Duties:

      Are you passionate about working with young children and creating a nurturing learning environment? Gan HaYeled is seeking a teacher to join our dynamic team working with 18-month to five-year-olds.

      Responsibilities:

      • Create a safe and nurturing, play-based, learning environment for children
      • Promote social and emotional development using the Pyramid Model framework
      • Collaborate with other team members, parents, and caregivers to ensure the best possible outcomes for children

      Qualifications:

      • Passion: A genuine passion for spending days with children
      • Enthusiasm: An enthusiastic and positive attitude
      • Patience: The ability to create a patient and understanding atmosphere for children to thrive
      • Active Listening: Strong listening skills to connect with children, understand their needs, and support their development
      • Commitment: A commitment to implementing the Pyramid Model framework and fostering social and emotional development Basics - National Center for Pyramid Model Innovations (challengingbehavior.org)
      • Experience: Prior experience and certification in the field of early childhood education

      Training:

      As a program-wide Pyramid Model implementation site, we require all team members to take the Pyramid Model course to align with our philosophy. Monthly training begins in September.
