What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage high-volume and high-complexity transactions related to contracts and grants
- Review and guide the financial and administrative management of research proposals
- Provide training and support to less experienced staff members
- Ensure compliance with institutional and sponsor policies regarding grant and contract proposals
- Conduct thorough evaluations of grant, contract, and subcontract transactions

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Extensive knowledge of program administration guidelines for Federal and non-Federal sponsors
- Advanced knowledge of compliance requirements related to research involving human or animal subjects
- Ability to manage complex financial transactions and perform financial analysis
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with a customer service focus
- Bachelor's degree in a related area and/or equivalent experience/training

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Proficiency in UC Campus and agency systems like Kuali Research and NSF Research.gov
- Understanding of University of California Policies and Procedures related to finance and grants administration
- Experience interpreting federal, state, and university regulations in contract and grant administration
- Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail in managing workloads and deadlines
