What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and implement health and human performance programs to support astronauts' well-being during space missions
- Design and optimize life support systems for crew members in space
- Collect and analyze data related to crew members' health, performance, and well-being
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate health and human performance considerations into mission planning and spacecraft design
- Stay updated on relevant regulations, policies, and standards related to crew health and safety

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Strong knowledge of human physiology, psychology, and performance optimization
- Experience in designing and implementing health and human performance programs
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's or Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, human factors engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field
- Familiarity with space environment and its impact on human health and performance
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, policies, and standards in the space industry
