- Partners with Program Management to establish strategy, prioritize requirements, and achieve financial goals while ensuring the integrity of business processes.
- Prepares in-depth budgets and schedules for medium sized programs and performs analyses to ensure that contracts are within negotiated parameters and government cost control guidelines
- Performs financial analyses and prepares variance explanations, estimates to complete (EACs), and monthly corporate and customer reports related to cost/schedule performance, staffing, and sales outlook
- Prepares program baselines, maintains artifacts, analyzes monthly performance, and prepares monthly financial reports and customer deliverables
- Performs schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and scheduling risks
- Ensures adequate funding availability by maintaining accurate records of expenditures, directing preparation of expenditure projections, and submitting timely requests for additional funding to the government
- Prepares and evaluates ROMs and proposals
- Interfaces with customer; works under limited supervision
- Technical skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team environment.
- Position is contingent upon being able to obtain Special Program Clearance within 90 days of hire
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline with a minimum of 6 years of industry related experience or a Master's degree and 4 years related experience. May consider 4 additional years of related experience (10 yrs. total) with a HS Diploma/GED.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline with a minimum of 8 years of industry related experience or a Master's degree and 6 years related experience. May consider 4 additional years of related experience (12 yrs. total) with a HS Diploma/GED.
- Complete understanding of contract types and terminology
- Experience with Cobra, Cognos, Planning Analytics for Excel (PAX)
- Experience with MS Project and/or Scheduling
- Experience with SAP, S4 HANA, or equivalent
- Understanding of DoD contracts, government Cost Accounting Standards, Commercial contracts, and the FAR.

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is currently seeking a Principal Program Cost & Schedule Control Analyst or Sr. Principal Program Cost & Schedule Control Analyst to assist with all business activities associated with several rapidly growing programs. The selected candidate will join the Logistic and Fabrication Solutions (LFS) Operating Unit to provide business management support to the CBP P-3 program. The LFS organization is headquartered in Lake Charles, LA with additional sites in Huntsville, AL, Jacksonville, FL, Fort Worth, TX, and Middle River, MD. This position can be located at any US Northrop Grumman site or remote. The team operates in the Central and Eastern time zones.
