      Plans and oversees the execution of compliance, risk, and regulatory initiatives and issues in the Marketing Technology (MarTech) space. Cross-coordinates initiatives and issues with stakeholders across the company as well as the teams within Marketing Technology. Tracks associated work in a central place and provides timely status updates to the compliance, risk, and legal teams as well as leadership. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

      Responsibilities

      • Drives or assists research and/or brainstorming sessions to help promote a culture of innovation within the department. Translates ideas and concepts into an executable project.
      • Leads issue management and cross-coordinating for compliance, risk, and data resiliency efforts across multiple internal and external teams to ensure product and service delivery conform to compliance & regulatory guidelines.
      • Meets with business stakeholders, compliance, risk and legal teams to gather requirements to drive issue resolution and initiative progress.
      • Understands and tracks technology trends and strategies. Represents Discover Business Technology when working with external parties.
      • Provides leadership and guidance to teams/business units where there is no clear organizational ownership yet defined or where products/technology is not yet institutionalized or adopted.
      • Mentors and assists more junior team members.
      • Organizes and enables collaboration and partnership across cross-functional teams, with internal and external partners, executes on strategy and architecture-driven initiatives. Drives or assists in communications on strategic initiatives to help drive consensus, achieve clarity and solve business problems. Provides oversight and process guidance for Integration Management activities in the case of a merger or acquisition.

      Minimum Qualifications

      At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

      • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, project management, business or related field
      • 6+ years of experience in project management, software engineering, or related field
      • In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of experience in project management, or related field

      Preferred Qualifications

      If we had our say, we’d also look for:

      • 8+ years of experience in project management, or related field
      • Background in Marketing, Marketing Operations or Marketing Technology Expert in Issue Management
      • Experience in the Finance Industry, specifically in Compliance, Risk Management, and Data Resiliency
      • Familiar with Customer Privacy Laws, Federal Acts and Banking Regulations
      • Expert in project management and agile methodologies
      • PMP certification preferred
      • Familiar with Product centric delivery

      Compensation:

      The base pay for this position generally ranges between $86,500.00 to $145,700.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
