      As the Process Engineer you will be involved in the continuous improvement and development of all process equipment within the Hydrogen Technologies Sector, initially focused within our Swindon site for manufacturing materials, including but not limited to; ink &dispersion mixing, coating, and converting production equipment. You will lead and develop robust solutions that increase plant reliability, process capability, and reduce waste. As the business expands this role will expand to support other facilities.

      Your goal / purpose will be to execute production performance improvement projects and provide support to the Production Unit Manager in safety/environment, quality, capacity, competitiveness. You will ensure seamless integration of processes, improvements and new products to business as usual within production facilities.

      Your responsibilities:

      • Lead a safety culture within production as well as ensure correct safety protocol adopted and delivered for any new processes.

      • Key projects will be identified and allocated through the Process Engineering Meeting to investigate specific improvements in all areas of manufacture. These will include improvements in both efficiency and quality which may be complex in nature, availability, and attainability.

      • Provide escalation support to production to overcome problems. This can include but not limited to: analytical equipment, machinery, raw materials, dispersions or substrate, material transition through unit processes.

      • Support or lead investigations into technical issues to identify & resolve problems to support production units and / or R&I projects. Follow investigation processes within the business and use strong analytical skills to identify and resolve problems.

      • Transfer, in collaboration with the R&D the production process expertise to Production (plant description, operating procedures etc.)

      • Compile documents and data including technical, technological or process information and prepare reports.

      • Generation of SOPs (SWE) documents for new products along with changes that come about through Manufacturing Change Requests.

      • Proactively seek & deliver solutions to problems identified in any internal and external customer demands or complaints.

      • Data analysis and review of analytical techniques and results to establish route cause for out of spec (OOS) material. Review of process control across manufacturing to help put mitigations for failure in place.

      • Contribute to the technical design and definition of requirements of new facilities.

      • GAP analysis assessments of current equipment for suitability of manufacturing new products. Where required support design upgrades to existing equipment.

      Requirements for the role:

      • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering or Chemistry or an equivalent level of work experience.

      • Existing experience within a similar role.

      • 6 sigma experience (Desirable)

      • VBA, Python or any programming language (Desirable)
