- Monitors and checks paperwork and seals of incoming product to determine correct receipt and time. Validates accuracy against seals on the trailer. Verifies tanker inspections and Dairy Hauling permits
- Must have basic computer knowledge. Able to understand hand clamp hook-ups and product flow.
This position is responsible for dairy receiving and staging along with blending, pasteurizing and sanitation functions in the
mix room.Enters information about receipt of incoming product into computer-based system and assigns location of product for ease in utilization by others within the work group.
Collects samples from incoming product for tests to determine quality and active percentages. Tastes and tests raw ingredients for quality including smell, load temperature, TA or PH, and ensuring cleanliness of valve before hookup of receiving hose.
Hooks up lines for cleaning or reassemble for use. Verifies correct piping connections and raw ingredients to assigned HTSTs.
Weighing and measuring ingredients. Adding powder to the blenders, setting up and making batches, monitoring inventory, cleaning, and following food safety and relevant regulations.
Makes daily powder orders from the warehouse needed for production run, transferring any unused raw products upon completion of run.
Prepares ingredients for mix batching, calibrating scales, weighing product and documenting ingredient weights and actual usage. Manually adds ingredients to liquid in lanco blender.
Performs daily forklift checks and operates forklift for material transport.
Cleans, dismantles, and reassembles equipment. Performs environmental cleaning within the blender room, including floor drains.
Completes and enters inventory information into Oracle for end-of-run reconciliation and researches any inventory discrepancies.
Exhibits strong individual responsibility towards the delivery of team metrics relating to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
Responsible for adhering to all safe work procedures and practices of safety, and proactively identifies safety issues
Qualifications
Recalls details of procedures and training and consistently follows established methods in task completion.
Must be able to provide accurate measurements
Communication with drivers and understand purchase orders.
