What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process mortgage loan files from opening through closing, being the primary contact for all parties involved
- Assemble necessary loan documents to meet underwriting guidelines and Automated Underwriting System findings
- Conduct welcome calls and follow up with borrowers on loan progress
- Review documents for accuracy and completeness, determining necessary documentation for the mortgage loan file
- Perform data validation and update records as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in mortgage processing or related fields
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and ability to work overtime as needed
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 2+ years of mortgage processing experience
- Experience with Empower or other mortgage loan applications
- Knowledge of commonly used mortgage concepts, practices, procedures, and Fannie/Freddie guidelines
- NMLS certification is an added advantage
- Problem-solving abilities and adaptability as a team player
