      Main duties of the job

      About the Role Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the Procurement Lead is responsible for managing the procurement process within CHEC, ensuring that we have the necessary goods and services to operate effectively across all sites. The procurement lead must identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and build relationships with vendors and ensure that all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and CHEC policies.

      We are looking for someone who can: Respond and obtain further information from suppliers where required for problem resolution. Ensure stock takes are completed in a timely and sufficient manner Investigate any stock supply issues, ensure we have alternatives where possible. Obtain quotations for new mobilisation equipment when required. Update our systems and project management tools to ensure complete transparency throughout our business. Monitor procurement activities, track key performance indicators, and provide regular reports on procurement performance to senior management. Continually evaluate and improve the procurement process, seeking out new vendors, technologies, and best practices to enhance procurement operations. Monitor monthly usage reports and adjust reorder levels as required. Proactively look at forecasted activity levels so future demand for product can be assessed and planned for.
