- Collaborate with internal business stakeholders to gain insights into activities and plans, encompassing new business needs, strategic objectives, emerging risks, and expiring supplier contracts.
- Perform supplier profiling and market research, which may involve visiting suppliers.
- Conduct data analysis and profiling, focusing on supplier spending, costs, full-time equivalent (FTE) profiles, and performance metrics.
- Work with the Senior Category Manager to implement risk management measures.
- Maintain the contract database, generate reports, and ensure compliance.
- Engage in basic commercial negotiations with suppliers regarding costs, contracts, and requirements.
- Provide support for the strategic development of category plans and related activities.
- Prepare and present contract extension requirements and handle minor supplier negotiations for the Procurement governance forum (PRB).
- Assist with commercial negotiations.
- Participate in basic contract drafting and negotiation, working in conjunction with Commercial Legal and specialist legal teams (training will be provided).
- Support Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) activities in accordance with the Centrica SRM framework.
- Collaborate with risk Subject Matter Expert (SME) teams to manage risks effectively.
- Foster collaboration across the Procurement Function to enhance the overall stakeholder.

An opportunity to play your part - The Category Specialist for outsourcing (contact centres) is responsible for collaborating with the Category Manager, internal corporate stakeholders, and external suppliers to establish and implement the most effective commercial and contractual structure for our outsourced contact centre operations in India, South Africa, the UK, and potentially in additional regions.
