      Job title: Product Designer (UX & UI)

      Reports to: UX Design Manager

      Location: Peterborough or London Euston (Hybrid)

      The Product Designer will join a team responsible for the ongoing design and development of some key digital touchpoints. In this role, you will partner with the business in UX discovery, and lead the UI design processes. You will be creating production ready solutions for web, mobile app, and other Travelex interfaces. Your expertise and research led decision making, will play a pivotal role in creating the most optimal user experience. Collaboration and partnership with other designers in the team will be essential to the role. You will assist in developing and maintaining a new Travelex design system, ensuring brand and UI consistency is applied in all that you deliver. The design process will see you work closely with product owners, stakeholders, and developers - while your discovery work, definitions and designs will be presented to the wider team on a regular basis.

      Key accountabilities and decision ownership:

      • Producing production ready design components, patterns, user flows and experiences for the web, native and cross platforms

      • The ability to plan, conduct and report on user research activities

      • Demonstrate the application of UX research, design principles and creative direction

      • Produce conceptual sketches, wireframes, prototypes, interaction specs and other deliverables, to support a user centred product development approach

      • Work to eradicate design debt and achieve consistency across given platforms

      • Assist in developing and maintaining the Figma based Travelex design system

      • Create solutions that consider different contextual use cases, to ensure customer interactions are intuitive and painless

      • Work with Product and engineering to ensure the best possible outcome from a visual and interaction design perspective

      • Present and justify design decisions to the Product team and other senior stakeholders

      • Work as part of a broader design team that aims to build trust, knowledge and a result led track record of design improvements

      Skills, knowledge, and experience:

      Must have:

      • Process driven, with a meticulous approach to digital asset creation, file management and project documentation

      • A question driven, user focused approach to problem solving

      • A broad knowledge of platform specific design constraints and opportunities, including mobile web and native app (IOS & Android)

      • An understanding of usability, interaction design and research theories and principles

      • Experience working with and maintaining Figma design systems

      • Experience of developing sketches, wireframes, and other design artefacts for digital design projects

      • Practical knowledge of UX role in agile Scrum methodology ways of working

      • Previous experience leading user interview and testing sessions

      • The skills to use data, research and user insights, to inform design decisions

      • The ability to present, listen and question during Product meeting scenarios

      • A passion to evolve their knowledge and skills in the field of UX and UI design

      Preferred:

      • Bachelor's degree in UXD or a relative qualification and/or experience

      • Experience working within a global company, or corporate environment with remote teams

      Technical / professional qualifications and experience:

      • Experience designing web & native solutions, backed by a portfolio of example projects

      • Experience building and managing design systems in Figma

      • Working knowledge of MV testing and personalisation platforms

      • Excellent knowledge of working tools i.e., Microsoft Office 365, Miro, Trello, Jira, and Confluence

      • Keen interest in emerging technologies and product development
