Report To: Director of Product Development

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a key member to the Five below Product Development team you will be responsible for creating and managing Five Below’s private brand in Fitness/Games/Room Decor /Apparel /Pet . You will work cross functionally with the Five Below teams (Merchandising, Sourcing, Compliance, Marketing, Design) and vendors to create value driven products at a WOW Value. The Product Manager will own their categories ensuring all products fits the brand’s voice and value.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage and own the product life cycle.
• Responsible for daily communication with overseas teams.
• Partner with Buying counterparts to build strategic product roadmap based on data-driven recommendations.
• Identify growth opportunities through trend, suppliers, and retail landscape.
• Maintain cross-functional communication with buyers, designer, compliance, sourcing, and marketing.
• Responsible for execution of the development calendar
• Perform margin and sales analysis on programs.
• Work with testing/compliance team on new and existing products
• Collaborate in the ideation and execution of new products and product extensions focusing on home goods, apparel, and/or seasonal items.
• Drive improvements in evergreen products.
• Partner with Product Development team to create presentations for seasonal trend direction.
• Mentor and train product development assistance levels

Required skills/abilities/qualifications:

• Experience in sourcing product innovation, brand management, marketing, retail, or strategy consulting.
• Product driven

• Knowledge in manufacturing and factory production
• Understanding of consumers and retail industry

• This is a hybrid role that requires a weekly presence in our Philadelphia office

Education & experience:

• Bachelor’s degree
• Preferred 3-5 years’ experience in product development, sourcing, design, or buying experience. Prefer 2+ in category.
• Overseas travel

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Be able to lift up to 50lbs
