Job Description

Duties: Develop and articulate medium and long-term product strategy as VMware’s product line expands. Plan, direct, and coordinate product activities and strategy for assigned offerings. Present VMware’s value proposition, technologies, strategy, and product roadmaps to customers, technical management, and engineers. Communicate and collaborate with engineers and product managers on trends, product feedback and customer success. Collaborate with the Product Marketing team for sales and customer enablement, serving as an authority on product lines. Review project plans and coordinate cross-functionally to define, develop, and implement product strategy to meet corporate business objectives. Apply technical expertise to perform product management activities, including internal, customer and partner product communications, competitive analysis and pricing, product requirements, development of technical materials and analysis of market trends. Apply technical knowledge of product management principles, best practices, and technologies to the design, development, testing, and production of various VMware products and services.

Requirements: Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related

technical/quantitative field and one (1) year of experience in job offered or any occupation in which the required experience was gained.

Employer requires at least five (5) of the following skills gained through industry experience:

• Defining product requirements, product strategy, product vision, and roadmap;
• Artificial intelligence and machine learning;
• Private and public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud;
• Customer analytics technology such as Pendo, customer hypothesis validation, A/B testing, user experience testing, or user onboarding;
• Containerized applications such as Docker or Kubernetes;
• Agile methodologies and version control system such as Git;
• Jira, Aha, or Jenkins;
• Conducting market research, analysis, and writing product requirements.

For US based candidates, the annual pay range (OTE for commissioned roles; Salary for other roles) for this position is: $169,978- $218,000. The actual offer will be based on the role, location, and individual candidate experience. Bonus, commission, and/or equity may be eligible for this position.
