What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide pre-visit support to providers by reviewing patient records and identifying chronic diagnosis capture opportunities
- Conduct post-visit reviews to assess documentation completeness and ensure accurate reflection of patient acuity
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, coders, and leadership to enhance documentation practices
- Develop and deliver training programs for providers and staff to improve documentation and coding behaviors
- Maintain current knowledge of CMS and industry guidelines to ensure compliance and quality of care

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum education: Associate degree
- Licensure/Certification: CCS-P, CPC, CRC, or other coding credential
- Extensive clinical knowledge and understanding of pathophysiology
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and personal computer applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- RN or LPN licensure is helpful but not required
- Experience in project management and education development
- Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
- Strong interpersonal skills with a history of effective communication at all organizational levels
- Ability to create meaningful educational materials for providers and team members
