- Develop and maintain relationships with Grants Management, Community Outreach and Engagement, and the Development team in addition to external partners, stakeholders, community members, RAC members, DRFF and Seeding Sub- grantees and CoC representatives to ensure work is done in a timely manner
- Coordinate and train staff on program policies and procedures.
- Acting as resource, co-create and coordinate innovative work assigned alongside the Program Manager for all Participatory Grant Making initiatives.
- Facilitate and support integration of Wayne Metro programs and services.
- Develop and maintain records necessary to document services and program effectiveness in keeping with funding and agency requirements.
- Evaluate and share lessons learned with Wayne Metro staff, community leaders, funders, intermediaries and other key stakeholders.
- Provide consistent information and documentation to all involved parties, as requested or as necessary;
- Assist in the management communication systems as related to DRFF and Seeding grants, including but not limited to email, voicemail and inquiries;
- Maintain a positive attitude towards assigned work, clients, and staff, and a willingness to work with others.
- Perform work in a professional manner that upholds Wayne Metro’s policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience that is similarly equivalent.
- A minimum of three years experience in grant procurement, administration, and application processes
- Knowledge of Wayne County demographics and the needs at-risk populations.
- Ability to collect and evaluate data regarding service needs, present services, and service gaps; and through such an evaluation, develop solution focused programming for stakeholders throughout Wayne County.
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) required.
- Working knowledge of basic internet applications and programs including Google technology. The ability to learn and utilize the necessary programs for this position.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form.
- Good interpersonal and professional skills including but not limited to professional appearance, tact, punctuality, and dependability.
- Ability to empathize and provide services for those persons facing economic, social, health, age, and educational barriers.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment (as deemed necessary).
- Perform work in a manner that upholds Wayne Metro policies and procedures.
- Ability to travel to various sites.
- Valid identification and reliable transportation.

Scope:
Our Participatory Grant Making Program promotes collaboration among internal and external stakeholders to develop, implement, and evaluate strategies for eliminating poverty in Wayne County. The Participatory Grant Making Coordinator will assist the Participatory Grant Making Manager in the administration of Seeding and Detroit Residents First Fund (DRFF) grants, Program Assistant Liaison (PAL) program, Regional Advisory Council (RAC) meetings, organizational volunteer recruitment, CoC activities including but not limited to assisting in the collaborative process for HUD’s annual NOFO and coordinating with CoC partners to further homeless initiatives for Out-Wayne County, provision of technical assistance and strategically leading the growth and development of future Program initiatives and goals. Under the supervision of the Participatory Grant Making Manager and as part of a supportive and dedicated team, the Participatory Grant Making Coordinator will be responsible for the daily office-based/work from home operations necessary to ensure program outcomes are being met in a timely and efficient manner.
