- Bachelor degree from Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy or Speech- Language Pathology, Audiologist Program is required
- Experience with in-patient and out-patient therapy preferred
- Minimum (5) years of treating therapy preferred.
- Minimum (3) years of therapy management experience preferred
- Familiarity with budgeting principles
- Ability to build and lead cohesive team(s)
- Must possess and maintain a current license in the state of practice
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Exemplary customer service skills
- Responsible for the overall administration, clinical planning, development, and operations of the Rehab Program
- Recruit, hire, provide orientation/training, and retain a sufficient number of qualified staff to carry out the
responsibilities of the Rehab department - Ensure employee performance meets or exceeds expectations and periodic performance evaluations are
conducted on a timely basis - Ensure rehabilitation staff is providing appropriate care in keeping with established standards for quality and in accordance with generally established principles of care
- Supervise the scheduling for therapy services considering available treatment hours, staff resources and overall plan of care
- Manage the evaluation and development of therapy programs including equipment assessment and staffing ratios
- May be required to perform patient care duties as their licensed discipline
- Collaborates with the operations leadership team, medical directors and program team to formulate a marketing plan to position the facility as the rehab center of choice in the area; interacts with internal/external patients and professional associations together input on this plan
- Collaborates with the VP of Ambulatory Services to facilitate a strategic plan and vision for the facility that incorporates the strategic goals of the program
- Works with VP of Ambulatory Services and medical director to assure that all policies and procedures are reviewed in a timely manner and in compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
- Facilitates the development of trusting relationships and partnerships with providers, payers, patients and co-workers, including a close working relationships with medical directors that includes them in program and policy decisions.

- Supervisory responsibilities of all rehab programs
- Communicates with and among physicians, supervisors, and office staff in the operations of the practice.
- Provides leadership, direction and guidance to office management staff and therapists.
- Assists in planning, development, recruitment and implementation of new programs that will be of benefit to the overall service line.
- Identifies strategies for growth and executes plans to achieve growth goals.
- Interviews and evaluates staff for which he or she is responsible.
- Make regular office visits with referring providers and office staff in the community to promote access/use of clinical services.
- Identify access and service barriers, customer service improvement opportunities and other strategies to strengthen relationships with referring physicians. Develop new referral sources.
- Coordinate special activities designed to improve relationships between medical offices office staff and health system and service line, including speaking and education opportunities for the practice.
- Applies knowledge of principles of standard precautions. Routinely and consistently uses PPE to avoid risk of exposure to self and others
- Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection control policies and protocols
- Respects diverse views and approaches, and contributes in maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors. Attends H.E.A.R.T trainings
- Provides coverage when needed at other locations within Heywood Healthcare
- Completes all Annual Mandatory Education requirements and any other required mandatory education (i.e. malpractice)
- Participates in meeting Quality measures, tracking and reporting
