      Position Summary

      Odyssey Systems is excited to announce a part-time opportunity for a Program Execution Group (PEG) Chief supporting the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's PEO Electronic Systems Directorate (AFLCMC/HB). AFLCMC/HB is tasked with the critical mission of modernizing, developing, testing, producing, fielding, and sustaining a portfolio of over 140 programs for the United States Air Force (USAF) and allied nations.

      The PEO Electronic Systems Directorate, headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA, operates across geographically separated units both within the continental United States (CONUS) and overseas (OCONUS).

      This position will be located at Tinker Air Force Base, OK.

      Responsibilities

      Duties include, but not limited to:

      • Branch Support Coordination: Oversee and support activities of the branch contractor team, ensuring alignment with objectives and efficient execution.
      • Policy Development and Review: Regularly review, update, and develop branch-level policies to maintain sufficiency, efficiency, and discipline. Monitor existing processes and recommend modifications as needed to optimize operations. Update policy letters as required to ensure compliance and order in branch processes.
      • Communication and Interface: Act as a liaison between division staff and branch-level management. Communicate division-level requirements and assist in implementing effective processes to facilitate efficient information flow, correspondence, and task execution.
      • Documentation and Process Review: Review staff packages and formal correspondence for accuracy, completeness, formatting, and quality. Ensure proper coordination before submission to the division chief and drive efforts to improve branch business processes.
      • Acquisition Document Review: Analyze and provide programmatic input on acquisition documents to ensure consistency and accuracy. Documents may include ADMs, LCSPs, Acquisition Strategies, APBs, Risk Management Plans, PMRs, and milestone decision briefings. Support the preparation, review, and development of acquisition reports, including statutory and regulatory documentation as outlined in DoDI 5000.02.
      • Correspondence and Documentation Development: Prepare and coordinate program correspondence and additional documentation using the Life Cycle Management Plan (LCMP) Document Workflow process.
      • Branch Offsite Meetings: Plan and organize all aspects of branch offsite meetings, including agenda development, attendee coordination, facility arrangements, and other logistical requirements.

      Qualifications

      Citizenship: Must be a US citizen

      Minimum Required Qualifications

      Clearance : Must have and be able to maintain a Secret level clearance

      Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, five (5) of which must be in the DoD OR,

        • 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, eight (8) of which must be in the DoD
      • Comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies and practices of systems acquisition and program management, as defined in DoDI 5000.02, as well as knowledge of roles and relationships within the DoD and the Air Force
      • Significant experience in DoD acquisition program
      • Experience with executive-level responsibilities
