      Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager Programs 3 to join our leadership team in Melbourne, FL.

      This lead will be responsible for program execution and management of the Strike Training System laboratory development, test, and integration efforts within the DevOps IPT, and will report directly to the Strike DevOps IPT Director. The position will require an individual who is accustomed to a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, and collaborative/team settings across all levels.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance for the Training System efforts within DevOps IPT, including lab preparation, system and subsystem test execution, and software support activities
      • Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders to ensure understanding of HW and SW dependencies and mutual agreement on scope of test and verification activities and environments
      • Develop and build the team to plan and execute operationally relevant demonstrations and tests for CVIDs in applicable System Integration Laboratories, including formal release of test artifacts
      • Develop and build the team to plan and execute subsystem requirement verification and acceptance test activities, including formal release of test artifacts
      • Lead the process definition and execution of all lab and test related reviews for all Training Systems elements (eg. ATP readiness reviews, post-test review, etc)
      • Effectively measure and communicate progress to internal and external stakeholders, and senior leadership
      • Provide leadership and presentations for PI planning as well as program major briefings, such as IDRs, PDR, CDR
      • Effectively manage technical change proposals to meet program technical, cost, and schedule objectives
      • Establish and manage program risks and opportunities and determine solutions and execute solutions to meet over DevOps IPT and Training System program objectives
      • Identify, allocate and manage program resources to include workforce planning to execute parallel engineering activities including analysis, design, integration, and lab/flight test support

      Basic Qualifications:

      • Bachelors degree and 10 years (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years) of related experience as defined below, OR a Master’s degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years) of related experience as defined below.
      • Related experience includes professional and/or military experience to include a background in project management, program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management related functions.
      • At least 2 years of team lead and/or management experience with CAM responsibilities and/or experience with Earned Value Management process.
      • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher that has been granted or renewed within the last 6 years or is enrolled in continuous evaluation.
      • Must be able to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP/PAR) prior to commencement of employment

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Current/Active Special Program Access (PAR)
      • Demonstrated ability to create trusted customer relationships
      • Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving all requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager.
      • Personnel management and development experience with demonstrated success leading and growing teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal
      • Demonstrated experience meeting customer needs, building strong relationships with strategic partners and guiding program teams and support functions to take action to satisfy customer expectations
      • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
      • Excellent oral, written, and electronic communication skills
      • Proven ability to effectively work across multiple organizations to form teams, gain internal support, act with speed, and make tough decisions
      • Open to direction and collaborative work style; commitment to get the job completed
      • Experience with Jira and Confluence tools
      • Experience with MBSE and Agile methodology applied to large scale complex software systems
      • Strong understanding of technical, cost, and schedule impacts on a program.

      Salary Range: $156,000.00 - $234,000.00

      The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

      Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
