      UTSC Management is a world leader in providing undergraduate business education that is heavily influenced by experiential learning and internationalization.       Your opportunity:

      Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, Management Co-op the responsibilities will include: Collaborating with the Assistant Director to set operational goals and objectives, develop strategies to achieve them, and create plans to implement those strategies; overseeing the day-to-day activities of the operations team, including staff training and development, assigning tasks and responsibilities; ensuring that all operational activities are performed in compliance with established policies, procedures, and standards to maintain quality and consistency in operations; preparing regular reports for the Assistant Director on the status of operations, including key performance indicators, resource utilization, and other metrics; and staying up-to-date with industry best practices and trends, and continuously seeking ways to improve operations and enhance service delivery to our students.

      Your responsibilities will include:

      • Developing charter, scope, resources, and schedule for projects
      • Advising on the cost, feasibility, and impact of different implementation solutions
      • Fostering and maintaining positive relationships with senior management to gain approval for strategies and plans
      • Analyzing processes and recommending changes for more efficient coordination of operations
      • Advising on the creation of efficiencies for business processes and productivity
      • Developing and editing standard operating procedures
      • Coordinating vendor selection and negotiation processes for RFP
      • Providing advice to departments and staff on admissions requirements

      Essential Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
      • Six to seven years in relatable database management
      • Experience with office administration and implementing practices to improve efficiency and service
      • Experience or equivalent skills in developing project plans, strategic plans, or other project coordination documents
      • Expertise with process improvement and project management
      • Must have experience in Excel including setting up Excel spreadsheets and graphics, prepare sophisticated PowerPoint presentations, knowledge of SharePoint, Internet, Acrobat, scheduling and project software, as well and an ability to adapt to and learn new technologies
      • Strong organizational and project management skills with a successful record of accomplishment in managing a variety of creative, persuasive, integrated, and cost-effective projects, from conceptual stages through delivery and follow-up/evaluation
      • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills to facilitate consultations, presentations, and workshops and build stakeholder relationships
      • Creative, self-directed, innovative, and results-oriented
      • Ability to manage multifaceted, concurrent projects and tasks
      • Exceptional organizational skills and flexibility in adjusting to changing circumstances
      • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve department goals and also work independently to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision

      Assets (Nonessential):

      • Preference will be given to candidates with experience working in the post-secondary sector and/or familiarity with co-op and work-integrated learning programs and competitor environments
      • Previous experience supervising or directing activities of staff
      • Experience with MS Project, Salesforce, Symplicity, Orbis, and HubSpot is considered an asset

      USW Pay Band 15 -- $93,752 with an annual step progression to a maximum of $119,892. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
