- Planning and overseeing the implementation of an evaluation framework for programs and initiatives
- Developing components of programs and initiatives that advance program objectives
- Conducting detailed data analysis to inform management decision making
- Overseeing day-to-day operational needs and service delivery requirements of programs; Implementing plans and process improvements for program activities
- Conducting detailed analysis on program efficiency and student learning outcomes to inform program planning activities
- Coordinating recruitment and training processes
- Planning and estimating financial resources required for programs and/or projects
- Directing a small group in a limited area, including responsibility for scheduling and/or workflow
- Bachelor's Degree in data science, management, or acceptable combination of equivalent experience. Project Management certification is considered an asset.
- Six to seven years of recent and related experience leading or coordination projects and/or programs, involving professional skills training curriculum development, student recruitment, and/or business administration. Preferably in a post-secondary institution.
- Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis on program efficiency and student experience and provide strategic input in program planning.
- Demonstrated experience in working with faculty and staff to execute curricular and co-curricular programming
- Demonstrated experience managing project/program budgets
- Experience working with funding agencies and funding reports
- Experience managing staff and project members
- Aptitude for numbers and analyses, solid problem-solving skills and ability to make evidence based decisions
- Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to workwell under pressure, both individually and as a team member
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities and deadlines
- Demonstrated initiative, innovation, and project completion skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and writtencommunication skills.

Your opportunity:
The Data Sciences Institute delivers upskilling data science Certificates that provides professionals with technical data science and professional skills. As the Program Manager, Professional Upskilling, reporting to the Director, DSI Operations & Strategy and working closely with the Director, Digital Technology Skills, you will be responsible for the oversight for delivery of the Institute’s professional Certificates, onboarding and direction of staff, support for hiring of instructors, and admission review of applications and accessibility. You will oversee the implementation of an evaluation framework for the programs, as well as implement plans and process improvements for program activities. You will be responsible for oversight of the programming budget and the regular milestone reports required from the Faculty of Arts & Science and external funders. You will work closely with the Faculty of Arts & Science Office of Professional & Lifelong Learning to deliver job ready and career skills programming. You will also be responsible for advancing the University’s commitment to equity, diversity and inclusivity.
