      Responsibilities:

      • Engage in account level evaluation, application of terms, pricing, risk selection and documentation of referrals from the MGA within established program guidelines and underwriting authority
      • Develop and maintain highly effective business relationships with assigned MGA in order to attract, develop/grow and retain profitable business
      • Provide superior service through timely referral turnaround and responsiveness to MGA inquiries
      • Independently monitor and manage production, rate, and portfolio mix to ensure assigned programs continue to meet profitability and growth expectations
      • Communicate and collaborate across the organization - including regular interaction with Claims, Product Development, Loss Control, Legal, Marketing, Reinsurance, Actuarial and Customer Service
      • Participate in annual audits of the MGA

      Qualifications:

      • Minimum 5 years of underwriting experience
      • Knowledge of various onshore oil and gas industry segments and exposures required
      • Working knowledge of General Liability, Property, Inland Marine, Auto, Workers Compensation, and Umbrella coverages are necessary in order to support the industry
      • Strong analytical and organizational skills
      • Demonstrates strong negotiation skills
      • Technology skills to include Microsoft Suite with emphasis on Excel.
      • Insurance/Industry specific designations (e.g. CPCU, ERIS) desired, not required
